May 27, 1959 – August 28, 2026 ግንቦት 19, 1951 – ነሐሴ 22, 2018 ዓ.ም.

A faithful servant. A teacher of God’s Word. A devoted son, husband, father, and brother. ታማኝ አገልጋይ፣ የእግዚአብሔር ቃል አስተማሪ፣ ልጅ፣ ባል፣ አባት እና ወንድም።

Rev. Dr. Dereje Fantaye Yimer was born on May 27, 1959 (Ginbot 19, 1951 in the Ethiopian calendar). An ordained minister — a Qes — of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus, he gave his life to preaching and teaching the Word of God, and earned his doctorate in service of the Word he loved to teach. He entered his rest on August 28, 2026 (Nehase 22, 2018), at sixty-seven. His farewell was held at Entoto Mekane Eyesus Church in Addis Ababa.

ቄስ ዶ/ር ደረጀ ፋንታዬ ይመር ግንቦት 19 ቀን 1951 ዓ.ም. ተወለዱ። የኢትዮጵያ ወንጌላዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያን መካነ ኢየሱስ ቄስ ሆነው የእግዚአብሔርን ቃል በመስበክና በማስተማር ሕይወታቸውን ሰጡ። ነሐሴ 22 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. በ67 ዓመታቸው አረፉ። የስንብት ጸሎቱ በእንጦጦ መካነ እየሱስ ቤተክርስቲያን ተደረገ።
